DJ 백스테이지는 뉴 메탈 소스들을 마치 쥬크 하우스의 방법론으로 채집/배열해내면서 마치 문래동 공장지대에서 기계가 고장난 듯한 금속성 소리의 메탈-코어-하우스로써 귀결지어냈다. 그는 –마지막 날 방화와 폭동으로 끝난-우드스탁 99 이후 뉴 메탈의 쇠락과 DJ 라샤드의 죽음 이후의 쥬크 하우스, 풋워크의 쇠락을 연결 지으려 한다. 허물어져가는 두개의 음악 시류와 더불어 여기에는 세기말의 혼돈, 그리고 COVID-19 이후의 아포칼립틱한 세계관이 서로 기묘하게 마주하는 광경이 펼쳐진다. 찬찬히 듣다 보면 –작가의 의도와는 무관하게-왠지 헛웃음도 난다. 말하자면 이것은 몰락에 관한 댄스음악이다.
